Scarf Heaven

by renuka on September 14, 2010

Following on from my post on the new scarf hall at Liberty which was launched last week, I got the chance to check it out in person whilst attending Fashions Night Out at Liberty this week.

I was a bit wary it may have simply been a larger version of the old scarf section on the ground floor, so I didn’t expect anything new.

However what I found was a veritable scarf Mecca, with the whole Liberty collection on display including vintage prints, designer displays and the most fun part of the new atrium, a styling booth!

There I found a suitcase full of scarves in every print and design, (which for those of you who don’t know me, is close to my idea of heaven), chose whichever I wanted and then got styled by Liberty’s in-house scarf specialist, Lauranne Plat who knows everything there is to know about tying a scarf in any knot or tie imaginable.

I chose a long chiffon piece for a head scarf, which I’ve never been able to get right myself, yet in seconds, she had me looking like a wild child of the seventies on my way to Woodstock.

Remember how much fun you used to have playing dress-ups? Check it out this Saturday afternoon.
