Not many of you will have heard of this relatively new designer on the Melbourne Fashion scene, but Dhini is known for her tailoring and rather complicated designs as you can see below… The label was launched in 2005, but Dhini is aleady stocked in some of Australia’s most exclusive boutiques, including Bue on High Street Armadale, Melbourne.
With South Asian heritage, her designs this season were strongly Indian-inspired and each model wore a pottu/bindi (although a more modern star-shaped sticker) on her forehead.
The sheer fabrics draped beautifully into the rouched designs and the use of silk sheen added a touch of glamour.
