People usually shy away from a colour like yellow, for fear it’ll wash them out, it’s a little too bright, it clashes with too many other colours. This lady I spotted in Liberty of London provides a little evidence to the contrary…

We’re probably going to see more and more oversized cardigans as the mercury begins to fall, but I really liked the cuffs and pockets on this one…

The perfect compromise between shelter and chic for spring has to be the peep-toe boot. Versatile enough to pair with trousers or skirt, they’re the bold partner of the harem pant and maxi dress.
Sexy in a composed way showing just a hint of heel and toe, the relaxed design is fresh enough feel comfortable in a sunny day and covered when it rains. Just what you need as the weather continues this Jeckyll and Hyde course for the rest of the season.

I’ve been wearing Coco Mademoiselle since the day it was given to me for my 16th birthday. I won’t bore you with the reasons I love it so, but last week I ran out of my beloved perfume, which apparently is no longer in production.
And so I’ve been forced to find a new signature scent. It’s important to say at this point that I don’t subscribe to the idea of having more than one fragrance, as I love the idea that only one scent might remind the one I’m with, of the way it feels to have me close. Increasingly, fragrances are being designed as a secondary scent, something that moulds to your personal scent.
Being in the process of changing quite a few things in my life right now, I may just be taking this exercise a little too seriously, however I think it’s fair to say it’s furthest thing from an impulse purchase. Don’t be afraid to take your time finding the right perfume, and stick to it, when you do.

Welcome to Style Sage, a London-centric style feed for men and women and fashion design collective. In 2010, fed up with the inconsistent and inadequate offering of fashion bloggers in the UK, founders and editors Renuka Rajadurai and Christian Kimber decided to create a sartorial sanctum for all of you searching for something to quench your thirst for everything in good taste.
We don’t purport to pursue fashion, but the essence of style; the timeless, enduring, distinction of detail. We don’t preach, we want to engage you in our hunt for haute, so that one pocket-square or neckerchief at a time we can revive London’s sartorial spirit. Guest contributions to Style Sage, interviews and open dialogues with industry experts all over the world will be featured on the site weekly and give you an insider perspective on the ins and outs of the rag trade.
We have personally selected the members of the Style Sage collective and aim to promote them, their works and design collaborations on the site, for your custom as well as that of boutiques and stockists. Each designer has been selected on the merit of their own unique style, and as pioneers of London design innovation.
Style Sage will be a champion of the masters of craft, whether indie or mainstream, in an open appeal to give credit where it’s due. We believe it’s better to be the needle, not the haystack; in the words of Don Draper, success is standing out, not fitting in.
So please join us and raise a martini glass to the launch of something we hope will become a tailored trend in your search for style.
Renuka and Christian
